Church Space allows you to create and manage QR codes for use in your lobby, signage, print material, check-in areas, and more. These codes are trackable, editable, and can be reused throughout the year.

How to Create a New QR Code

There are two ways to start:

  • Click the Create New button in the sidebar, then choose QR Code
  • Or visit the QR Codes page and click New QR Code

You can create multiple QR codes for the same link. This lets you track where each code is being scanned (e.g. lobby vs. screens vs. seat backs).

Editing a QR Code

Click on the name of the QR code to open the editor. You can customize:

  • Private Name (for internal reference)
  • QR Code Color
  • Background Color
  • Corner Rounding
  • Center Image (e.g., your church logo)

When finished, click Save.

You can duplicate a QR code by clicking the Duplicate button in the bottom-left of the editor. You can delete a QR code from this same editor by clicking the Delete icon.

Downloading a QR Code

Just click on the QR code image to download it instantly.

To update the link that a QR code points to:

  1. Click the title of the link at the top of the QR code page,
    or click the three dots (⋯) and select Edit.
  2. Change the URL or email address.
  3. Click Save.

The update takes effect immediately across all QR codes linked to that URL.

This is useful if a URL changes or you made a mistake. You can reuse printed codes on signs, seats, and displays year-round by just updating the link destination.

Managing QR Code Status

In the Edit menu (or via the three dots on a code):

  • Toggle the QR code to Active or Inactive.
    • Active codes will redirect users to your link.
    • Inactive codes will no longer redirect anywhere.

Linking to Emails

You can link a QR code to an email address instead of a URL.
After saving, you’ll see it formatted as mailto:example@domain.com.
This is expected and will open the recipient’s default mail app when scanned.

Deleting a QR Code

To delete a QR code:

  1. Click the three dots (⋯) on the QR code card.
  2. Select Delete, then confirm the deletion.

This action cannot be undone. Deleted QR codes will stop working immediately.
